A tasteful food tour of Puerto Rico's traditional dishes. This walking tour visits four of the best restaurants and shops of the historic Old San Juan. Each stop offers a unique atmosphere where culture and taste merge into a unique culinary experience.
The excursion starts with a "posillo" of coffee along with sweet Mallorca buttered bread, a favorite that will calm down the hunger. Walking on cobblestone streets, the tour then visits two restaurants right in the heart of Old San Juan.
The first restaurant serves a Puerto Rican sampler with traditional snacks such as alcapurrias, empanadillas, fried cheese, etc. In the second restaurants, travelers will have the opportunity to enjoy the famous Puerto Rican mofongo stuffed with a choice of pork, chicken or seafood in salsa Criolla or "al ajillo".Along the route, travelers will visit some famous sites of the old town while learning about the history and culture of Puerto Rico. For dessert, travelers can choose among a locally hand-made ice lollipop or a chocolate delicacy in a famous ChocoBar!
